Job summary

Crosby Composites is seeking a hands-on role to support the trimming and assembly of carbon fibre parts in a fast-paced Brackley environment. You will work under the Trim Supervisor, ensuring parts meet timescales and quality standards.

Key requirements include reading drawings (advantageous), excellent attention to detail, and a strong focus on health and safety, with good communication and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Crosby Composites (established in 1982) is the number one composite manufacturer in the UK, excelling in the design and manufacture of high-quality carbon fibre parts. Our global customers cover Formula 1, motorsport but primarily automotive, making components and bodywork for some of the most prestigious and outrageous hyper cars in the world. Our services in supporting this include conceptual design, bespoke tolling and manufacturing (with inhouse state of the art spray painting, kit cutting and multiple large autoclaves).

Purpose of the job:

Reporting to the Trim Supervisor. This role is to support the Team Leader in the efficient running of the department by meeting job timescales and demand, whilst completing jobs to the highest of standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trimming, bonding and assembling carbon fibre components utilizing engineering drawings and build manuals
• Checking information on drawings is clear
• Checking route card instructions are correct
• Help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency
• Ensure the department is kept clean and tidy

SKILLS:

• Ability to read engineering drawings would be an advantage but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail is essential
• Constant aware of health and safety
• Good verbal communication and listening skills
• Ability to listen to and follow instructions
