Job summary

Travail Employment Group is recruiting for a Trim Supervisor in the United Kingdom. This permanent, full-time role leads a trimming team, ensuring production schedules are met with safety and quality aligned to company standards.

You will report to the Operations Manager, guiding a skilled team, coordinating workloads and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading a team within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions and guidance.
• Ability to organise workloads and prioritise effectively.
• Experience working to production schedules and deadlines.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily workloads and ensuring production schedules are completed on time.
• Supporting and supervising the trimming team to achieve departmental targets.
• Ensuring operatives have the tools, materials and information required to complete work efficiently.
• Monitoring workflow and quickly identifying and resolving production delays.
• Working closely with Inspection and Production teams to ensure smooth movement of work through the business.
• Maintaining accurate job sheet completion and production records.
• Ensuring equipment is checked, maintained and serviced in line with company procedures.
• Promoting high standards of housekeeping, health and safety and workplace organisation.
• Escalating production, resource or quality issues to the Operations Manager and supporting corrective actions.
• Encouraging a positive team culture and ensuring employees understand daily objectives and expectations.
