Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust in Bicester is seeking an experienced Band 6 Telephone Triage Midwife to join our maternity team on a full-time basis. You will assess concerns, provide safe clinical advice, and ensure women are directed to the right care at the right time, working within the Telephone Triage Service.

Part-time hours or a job-share can be considered, offering flexible working patterns to fit staff needs while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with current NMC registration and post‑registration experience.
• Mentorship/PSPA/SLIP qualification or equivalent is preferred.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD and commitment to professional development.
• Completed preceptorship or equivalent transition to independent practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, safe clinical advice to women and families via telephone triage.
• Assess risk, identify red flags and direct to appropriate care at the right time.
• Work as part of the maternity team across multiple areas and maintain clinical governance.
• Offer midwifery-led care and autonomous decision making within current protocols.
