Job summary

YTL UK in Wareham is seeking a Treatment Operator to manage and maintain sewage treatment facilities and pumping stations. The role involves operating advanced wastewater and sludge treatment, ensuring compliance with procedures and safeguarding health and safety for all site staff and the public.

Applicants should be comfortable working outdoors in all weather and be prepared to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, while upholding company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working unsupervised in an industrial or process plant.
• GCSEs in English, maths and a technical subject.
• Willingness to work outside in all conditions.
• Full UK driving licence, ideally BE category.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards.
• Run advanced wastewater treatment and sludge processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, processes and procedures.
• Maintain health, safety and welfare of colleagues and the public.
• Work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends.

Job description

If so, we are looking for a Treatment Operator to work in our Wareham team.

What you'll do

Your role will involve:

• the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards
• running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants
• ensuring compliance with company policy, processes and procedures
• ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times
• working outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.

What you'll need

You will need experience working unsupervisedin an industrial or process plant.

Mechanical experience would be desirable. Confined spaces training will be provided as part of role, however you will need to be eligible to work in confined spaces.

This includes suitability to wear appropriate breathing apparatus and navigating tight spaces.

You will also need:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, maths, and a technical subject
• to be happy working outside in all conditions
• a valid driving licence, ideally with category BE
• to be flexible in your approach to work.
