Job summary

YTL UK is recruiting for a Civils Operator to support the MHS project. The role involves working both independently and in a team to keep wastewater infrastructure running. Training, coaching and mentoring are provided to get you up to speed.

You'll travel across the Wessex Water region, with some after-hours work and occasional night stays. The job values a can-do attitude and a readiness to work in diverse sites.

We will help you get up to speed by providing on-the-job training, regular coaching and mentoring to ensure you can perform the role.

What you'll do

The role of a Civils Operator involves a balance of workingself-sufficiently and as part of a team. Our Sewer Renovation team not only repairs and maintains all of the wastewater network, but they also investigate groundwater infiltration and carry out remedial work to protect the environment and the quality of the watercourse.

This position is highly varied and diverse, so there will never be a dull moment. Every day, you will work at different locations to ensure we keep our infrastructure up and running.

What you'll need

You'll have good communication skills and be confident engaging with both customers and colleagues throughout the business, over the phone and face to face. It would be great if you have an understanding of sewer networks, but don't worry if not, as we'll train you.

This is a regional role working all over the Wessex Water region. You may occasionally be required to work outside normal working hours, along with an occasional night away.

The most important thing is your attitude and that you're not afraid of hard work.

This role may involve you being part of a standby rota dependent on projects.
