Job summary

University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group is seeking an exceptional finance leader to join the senior finance team as Head of Treasury Management. You will lead treasury operations, oversee cash, liquidity, banking and controls, and prepare and review short- and long-term cashflow forecasts.

You will be CCAB qualified, with Master’s-level education or equivalent training and experience, and possess substantial leadership experience in treasury, financial accounting or related fields.

Qualifications

• CCAB qualified with Master's level education or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of cashflow forecasting, liquidity, working capital and financial controls.
• Excellent analytical, modelling and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with auditors, regulators and senior stakeholders; clear communicator.

Responsibilities

• Lead treasury operations, oversee cash, liquidity, banking and controls.
• Prepare and review short- and long-term cashflow forecasts.
• Improve debtor recovery, creditor management and cash conversion; ensure NHS England guidance and NHS Trust governance.
• Oversee reporting, audit support, policies and controls; lead VAT returns and liaise with HMRC.
• Champion automation, digital transformation across Treasury, AP and AR.
• Build and develop high-performing teams supporting patient care through sound financial stewardship.
