Job summary

G Mass, in partnership with a major international bank, is hiring a Treasury Settlements Analyst for its EMEA Operations team. You will support end-to-end FX and money market settlements, ensuring matching, confirmation and payment within deadlines.

In a busy, process-driven environment, you’ll handle cash breaks, inquiries from clients and internal teams, and contribute to control improvements while gaining broad exposure across the settlements lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in an investment bank within settlements or confirmations.
• Strong grounding in reconciliations.
• Confident Excel user and proficient with Office suite.
• Clear written and spoken communication.
• Well organised, able to juggle deadlines, and works well solo or in a team.
• Adaptable with varied workload.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end FX and money market settlements from booking to payment within timeframes.
• Chase cash breaks and mismatches with clients and custodians to fix quickly.
• Act as a point of contact for queries from internal teams and clients, maintaining high service levels.
• Identify control weaknesses and suggest improvements to tighten operations.
• Deliver regular reporting and periodic checks to deadline.
• Learn other team functions and cover bank holidays as needed.
• Support change projects and efficiency initiatives with neighbouring teams.

G MASS are partnering with a major international bank to hire a Treasury Settlements Analyst into its EMEA Operations team, covering foreign exchange and money market flows for branches across the region.

Sitting within a busy treasury operations function, you will help make sure large, high value trades are matched, confirmed and paid on time, with market cut offs and regulatory obligations driving the pace of the day. The role offers broad exposure across the settlements lifecycle and close contact with clients, trading desks, custodians and audit, making it a strong fit for someone who is methodical, calm under pressure and keen to develop across a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Process the end to end settlement of FX and money market transactions, from booking and confirmation through to payment, within agreed timeframes
• Chase down and clear cash breaks and trade mismatches, working directly with clients, counterparties and custodians to get them fixed quickly
• Act as a point of contact for queries from internal teams and clients, keeping service levels consistently high
• Flag control weaknesses or operational risks early and suggest practical ways to tighten them up
• Deliver regular reporting and periodic checks accurately and to deadline
• Build knowledge of every function in the team so you can step in where needed, including a share of bank holiday cover
• Get involved in change projects and efficiency improvements, and work closely with neighbouring operations teams

Requirements

• Operations experience gained within an investment bank, ideally in a settlements or confirmations seat
• A good grounding in reconciliations
• Confident Excel user, comfortable with the wider Office suite, and quick to use technology to solve day to day problems
• Communicates clearly and professionally, both on the phone and in writing
• Well organised, able to juggle competing deadlines, and equally effective working alone or as part of a team
• Adaptable and happy to take on a varied workload
