An established industry player is seeking a Treasury Operations Manager to oversee treasury and ledger operations. This pivotal role involves cash flow management, leading AR/AP teams, and maintaining banking relationships. You will implement processes to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with regulations. Main Purpose of the Job:
The role will be responsible for overseeing the company’s treasury and ledger operations, including cash flow management, overseeing the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable management, intercompany flows and banking relationships.
What you will be doing:
Implement and establish processes and controls – Initial time in role will focus on implementing and establishing new process and controls across transactional flows (AP, AR and cash) to enable process efficiency, transparency and control.
Cash Flow Management – i) monitor daily cash positions and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and ii) develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to support business planning, decision-making and cash requirements from Swire Group
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Management – i) lead and develop AR/AP team members in day-to-day operations and develop process/systems optimisation initiatives, ii) manage internal and external credit limits including account management for credit insurance facility.
Intercompany – i)Management of the intercompany positions to ensure positions are cleared down as appropriate, ii) Ensure all intercompany loans have the required documentation
Banking and Financing Relationships – i) maintain and enhance relationships with parent company (Swire), banks, financial institutions and other key stakeholders, ii) manage credit facilities, loan agreements, and other financing arrangements (including standby letters of credit and bank guarantees).
Financial Reporting and Compliance – i) prepare regular reports on the company’s liquidity position , ii) ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and internal policies related to treasury activities, iii) support internal and external audits related to treasury functions, iv) ensure compliance with debt covenants and proactively manage refinancing opportunities, v) ensure adequate controls and check/authorise system approvals in corporate ERP and banking systems and iv) maintain treasury/AP/AR policies in conjunction with the Head of Group Finance.
Your key relationships will be:
Internally, you will work closely with the Finance, Trade Team and treasury colleagues within Swire.
Externally, you will liaise with Banks, other financial services providers and customers/suppliers.
Skills and behaviours required for the role:
Ability to use all Microsoft Office packages
Analytical skills – comfortable working with large amounts of data from multiple sources ensuring accuracy and good attention to detail.
Reporting skills – produce quality analysis or output that is meaningful to recipients.
Good communication skills – able to interpret complex financial data and explain it simply.
Evidence of initiative – self-starter, developing new ways of reporting or analysing data.
Interpersonal skills – able to form successful working relationships.
Ability to operate calmly under pressure and adapt priorities where necessary and align with key stakeholders
Qualifications required:
Educated to A level or equivalent, including GCSE English and Maths.
Relevant qualifications would be an significant advantage (e.g. ACT, ICM).
Previous experience of leading and managing AP and AR teams.
Previous use of ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP
Experience of operating in a similar role in a production environment would be advantageous
