Job summary

Bayman Atkinson Smythe is partnering with a social housing provider in Greater Manchester to recruit a Treasury Accountant. The role focuses on cash forecasting, treasury transactions and supporting development reporting to enable growth and funding for homes.

The successful candidate will combine hands-on accounting with financial insight, liaising with budget holders and colleagues across the business to support compliance and strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified, AAT-qualified or qualified by experience.
• Accurate, practical accounting approach.
• Ability to combine detailed financial work with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Process treasury transactions and prepare cash forecasts.
• Monitor loan movements, liquidity and covenant compliance.
• Support development management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Explain performance and variances to budget holders.
• Complete reconciliations and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with funding, security records, statutory reporting and audits.

We're partnering with a social housing provider to recruit a finance professional to support its treasury operations, development reporting and wider growth plans. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll combine hands‑on accounting with cash-flow forecasting and financial insight, helping the organisation manage its funding and invest in homes.

The Role:

• Process treasury transactions, prepare cash forecasts
• Monitor loan movements, liquidity and covenant compliance.
• Support development management accounts, budgets and forecasts
• Working with budget holders to explain performance and variances.
• Complete reconciliations
• Support funding, security records, statutory reporting and audit requirements.

About You:

• You'll be part-qualified, AAT-qualified or qualified by experience
• Have an accurate, practical approach to accounting.
• The role offers a mix of detailed financial work and collaboration with colleagues across the business.
