Job summary

The University of Central Lancashire is seeking a Financial Services professional to lead the treasury and compliance function reporting to the Head of Financial Operations. You will manage cash flow, banking relationships and treasury reporting across the university and associated entities, while driving process change through automation.

With ACT or AAT qualifications or equivalent experience, you will lead a small specialist team, ensure robust financial controls and provide expert treasury

Qualifications

• ACT qualification or equivalent experience.
• AAT qualification (or equivalent), or a business-related qualification with experience of financial transaction environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the treasury and compliance function
• Manage cash flow across the university and its associated entities
• Oversee banking operations
• Oversee treasury reporting
• Ensure effective financial controls and governance
• Support regulatory compliance
• Give expert advice on treasury management, compliance and financial controls to colleagues
• Support strategic projects and service enhancements
• Lead and develop a small specialist team
• Maintain relationships with banking partners and external stakeholders
• Identify process improvements through technology, automation and best practice
• Drive continuous improvement across treasury and compliance activities
