Job summary

Equans Data Centers is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support decarbonisation across data centre projects. You will be the main on-site environmental contact, organising monitoring, reporting, and training while collaborating with central teams to drive performance.

The role requires travel to sites, delivery of environmental plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance with ISO14001, BREEAM/LEED standards, and risk mitigation across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as Environmental Advisor or similar role.
• Knowledge of ISO14001 application.
• BREEAM/LEED knowledge and advisory certification.
• Experience assessing environmental hazards and mitigation.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Willingness to travel nationally to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Organise site environmental monitoring, measurement and reporting.
• Assist with carbon reduction targets for projects.
• Implement waste reduction plans and circular economy initiatives.
• Embed sustainable practices on site and deliver toolbox talks.
• Assist teams to achieve BREEAM/LEED ratings.
• Provide guidance to project teams on environmental aspects.
• Monitor and report environmental performance and site inspections.
• Prepare and review environmental documents.
• Investigate environmental incidents and manage actions.
• Collaborate with central Environmental & Sustainability teams to improve performance.
