Job summary

iACS is a dynamic, family-run leader in HVAC control systems seeking a Commissioning Engineer (AHU Controls). This on-site role focuses on commissioning, testing, and validating AHU control systems across the UK with a state-of-the-art iX platform.

You will configure control strategies on local HMIs, verify I/O, and collaborate with BMS contractors for seamless Modbus/BACnet integration, while delivering end-user training and detailed reports.

Qualifications

  • Extensive AHU controls knowledge and hands-on commissioning experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • CSCS card valid for site access.
  • Authorisation to work in the UK.
  • Familiarity with cloud connectivity solutions and modern remote technical support.
  • Experience with Modbus/BACnet serial/IP configuration.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and clear client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site commissioning, testing, and validation of AHU control systems.
  • Perform pre-commissioning checks of mains power, voltages, and field components.
  • Configure control strategies and parameters on local HMIs; ensure PLCs run latest software.
  • Test and validate analogue/digital I/O; troubleshoot and correct cabling on site.
  • Collaborate with BMS contractors to integrate AHU with Modbus/BACnet.
  • Deliver hands-on end-user training and complete commissioning/site visit reports.
