Job summary

The Manchester College, via the LTE Group, seeks a part-time Travel and Tourism Teacher for the Harpurhey Campus in Manchester. You will deliver a Level 1 Travel and Tourism qualification and work toward a Cert Ed/PGCE with mentoring support to aid your transition from industry into education.

Based in the Service and Retail Industries Department, the role includes strong induction, DBS checks, and a pro-rata salary aligned with the part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Education or PGCE.
• Current and valid industry specialism.
• Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation).
• Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
• English and maths minimum Level 2 (Grace C or 4+).

Responsibilities

• Teach Travel and Tourism to the designated qualification level.
• Support candidates to complete teaching qualifications (Cert Ed/PGCE).
• Participate in mentoring and professional development.
• Contribute to safeguarding and student progress within the department.
