Job summary

Bournemouth & Poole College is seeking a part-time Lecturer in Travel & Tourism to join our Bournemouth campus. You will deliver engaging Travel & Tourism lessons, support students’ progress and act as an Academic Tutor where required.

Working 26 hours per week, the role offers a salary of £21,502–£28,938 per year (FTE £30,600–£41,182) depending on experience, with benefits including generous leave and participation in the NEST Pension Scheme.

Qualifications

• GCSE 9-4 in English and Maths (or Level 2 Functional Skills)
• Degree, professional qualification or substantial industry experience
• Teaching Qualification Level 5 or above or willingness to achieve
• Experience supporting students with varying abilities
• Confident using digital systems and Microsoft Office
• Safeguarding knowledge in educational settings

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver ambitious, inclusive and high-quality teaching, learning and assessment
• Deliver sequenced learning to build knowledge and skills
• Act as Academic Tutor providing pastoral support
• Build inclusive relationships to support student success
• Engage in CPD to maintain high standards and vocational currency
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cross-college collaboration
