Eurochange Redcar - Morrisons, TS10 3ER is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant for a 12-month FTC. You’ll handle sales, cash, and customer service, delivering friendly, accurate guidance for travel money needs. The role includes weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays, based in our Redcar bureau within Morrisons.

You’ll build trust with customers, upsell where appropriate, and support the team across shifts. Training is provided to help you meet targets while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in retail sales, cash handling and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding, friendly service that turns first-time customers into loyal fans.
• Build genuine rapport with each customer to understand travel plans, needs, and concerns.
• Use knowledge and enthusiasm to recommend the best products and services for every customer.
• Engage in conversational selling to match products to customers’ needs in a natural, supportive way.
• Share trusted advice on exchange rates, currency options, and how to get the most value for money.
• Accurately process transactions while ensuring full compliance with financial regulations.
• Keep the bureau secure, presentable, and welcoming at all times.
• Promote additional products and services to enhance each customer’s journey.
• Take ownership when the manager is away, keeping the bureau running smoothly.
• Support new colleagues during onboarding and share knowledge with the team.
• Be flexible to work in nearby branches when needed to help the team succeed.
