Job summary

Eurochange Ltd is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant in Newcastle upon Tyne to deliver friendly, expert service at Eldon Square. You’ll help customers with travel money needs, provide advice on products, and process transactions accurately in a welcoming, secure environment.

You’ll join a team supporting customers across branches on a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, with training provided to grow your skills and deliver great value to every traveller.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail sales, cash handling and customer service.
• Confident, friendly, and positive attitude with customer focus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
• Flexibility to travel to nearby locations if required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding, friendly service that turns first-time customers into loyal fans.
• Build genuine rapport with each customer to understand travel plans and needs.
• Recommend the best products and services for every customer.
• Engage in conversational selling to match products to customers’ needs.
• Process transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Keep the bureau secure, presentable, and welcoming at all times.
• Promote additional products and services to enhance each customer’s journey.
• Take ownership when the manager is away, keeping the bureau running smoothly.
• Support new colleagues during onboarding and share knowledge with the team.
• Be flexible to work in nearby branches when needed, helping the team succeed.
