Job summary

eurochange is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant for Southampton to join a team delivering friendly, expert travel money services. You’ll handle transactions, advise customers on exchange options, and help customers plan their travel needs with accurate, trustworthy guidance.

The role offers 14 hours per week across weekdays and weekends, with full training and potential support for growth within the branch network.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in retail sales, cash handling, and customer service.
Confident, friendly, and positive attitude – you make customers feel welcome and valued!
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.

Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding, friendly service that turns first-time customers into loyal fans.
Build genuine rapport with each customer to understand travel plans and needs.
Use knowledge to recommend the best products and services for every customer.
Engage in conversational selling to match products to customers’ needs naturally.
Share trusted advice on exchange rates, currency options, and how to get value for money.
Accurately process transactions while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Keep the bureau secure, presentable and welcoming at all times.
