Job summary

New Appointments Group Ltd is seeking a practical Maintenance Operative to provide maintenance across Canterbury, with travel to Dover and Folkestone. You will perform general trades, repairs and planned works to keep properties safe and well presented.

We require hands-on, reliable candidates who can work independently or as part of a team, with a full driving licence and access to transport, as travel between sites is essential. DBS checks apply where required.

Qualifications

• Experience with general maintenance across property settings.
• Hands-on skills in carpentry, plumbing and decorating.
• Practical problem-solving and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance across supported accommodation and offices.
• Respond to repairs, prioritise tasks and complete within reasonable timescales.
• Conduct planned and cyclical maintenance, refurbishing and redecorating as needed.
• Liaise with external contractors when required and report issues promptly.
• Ensure properties are clean, safe and well presented.
