Job summary

Travel Trade Recruitment in Chesterfield is seeking an experienced Travel Agent to join the retail store. You will book a wide range of worldwide holidays and sell a variety of Tour Operators, working Monday to Saturday, 09:00–17:00 with Sundays off.

Starting salary from £12.71 per hour dependent on experience, plus monthly bonus. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months travel agency experience, with a friendly team and opportunities for progression and training.

Qualifications

• Ability to sell packages, tailor-made holidays and flights.
• Good interpersonal skills and rapport with customers.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador of the company with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Operate the FE Bureau when required.

Established independent Travel Agency with a friendly team of Travel Consultants, who pride themselves on offering personalised service and high-quality holidays at the most competitive prices, are seeking an experienced Travel Agent to join the team. Working in their Chesterfield retail travel store, you will book a huge variety of worldwide holidays, selling a variety of Tour Operators. Working five days on a Mon-Sat rota 0900-1700 (No Sundays!), starting salary from £12.71 per hour dependent on experience, plus monthly bonus. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months travel agency experience.

Job Description:

• Be a true ambassador of the company, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills, building rapport with all customers and colleagues and always possess a can-do attitude
• Create and sell package, tailormade and luxury holidays/ flights to all destinations including holidays in the UK.
• Maximise revenue and profit by cross selling and adding on relevant ancillaries.
• Operate the FE Bureau when required.

• Work with the accounts team to ensure payments and made.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We are seeking someone who has experience of working in a retail travel agency, either currently or previously and keen to return.

The Package:

• Salary from £24784 pa (negotiable/dependent on experience) plus monthly bonus based on branch performance.
