Job summary

Get Set UK is hiring an IPS Employment Specialist to support people with serious mental illness in Essex. You will help clients start rapid, personalised job searches and work with NHS teams to align goals with employment.

You will complete vocational profiles, support applications and interviews, engage with employers, and travel daily across Basildon and surrounding areas. IPS training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience providing one-to-one advice and guidance to adults or young adults with evidence of outcomes.
• Ability to manage a caseload, appointments and competing priorities with accurate records.
• Confidence communicating with professionals and employers; willingness to build relationships.
• Evidence of working towards targets and delivering high standards consistently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning new case-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support people to find and sustain competitive paid employment aligned with their goals.
• Complete vocational profiles, discuss job preferences and disclosure needs.
• Engage with NHS clinical teams and with employers to create opportunities.
• Travel daily across Basildon and Essex to meet participants and employers.
• Provide post-placement support to resolve issues and sustain employment.
