Job summary

Phoenix Futures is recruiting a Counsellor for Ophelia House, a trauma-responsive women’s therapeutic community in Yarnton. You will provide 1-to-1 counselling and group work, with strength-based assessments and care planning, in a multi-disciplinary team.

The role includes supervision of placements and applying evidence-based practice in daily work. Accredited counsellors with CBT delivery experience are sought; strong IT skills and experience in substance misuse settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited counsellor status required.
• Experience in substance misuse settings or similar.
• Experience managing a caseload and partnering with teams.
• Deliver CBT-based interventions and strong IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-to-1 counselling and group work with clients.
• Carry out strength-based assessments and create care plans.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Supervise academic placements and develop trainees' skills.
• Utilise theory and evidence to support practice in individual work.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the therapeutic community.
