Job summary

St George's University Hospitals in Wimbledon coordinates the Trust's participation in the National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR), ensuring timely collection, validation and submission of trauma data in line with national requirements. The role identifies eligible trauma patients, extracts data from clinical systems, and supports interpretation of national audit findings to drive service improvement.

The post holder also contributes to wider clinical audit and effectiveness activities across the

Responsibilities

• coordinates the Trust's participation in the NMTR
• collect, validate and submit accurate trauma data within national reporting deadlines
• Identify eligible trauma patients using NMTR criteria and internal reports
• Extract and analyse information from patient records and clinical information systems
• Monitor data quality, completeness and timeliness, escalating concerns where necessary
• Produce reports and provide regular updates to trauma leads and clinical audit & effectiveness manager
• attend Trust Trauma Group meetings contributing data analysis and audit intelligence
