Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking a Therapy Associate Practitioner in Trauma and Orthopaedics. The role is a Band 4, 6-month fixed term, 37.5 hours per week, based in Macclesfield.

The post involves experienced assessment and treatment within trauma and orthopaedics, working alongside a multidisciplinary team and providing rehabilitation to inpatients. Applicants should have relevant qualifications and must be eligible for Enhanced DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent.
• BTEC National Diploma or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Assistant membership of a relevant professional body.
• Foundation degree in Health & Social Care.
• Successful completion or currently undertaking an European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).

Responsibilities

• To work as part of a team providing a comprehensive rehabilitation service for inpatients on the Orthopaedic Unit under the supervision of a qualified therapist.
• To contribute to multidisciplinary team management.
• To contribute to operational delivery and service development.
