Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Band 6 nurse to join the Treetops elective Orthopaedic ward. You will work in a 22-bed unit, delivering evidence-based care with a multidisciplinary team and leading on clinical practice improvements.

The role requires NMC registration, ongoing professional development, and a commitment to patient dignity and safety in a busy orthopaedic setting. There is a focus on leadership, education and quality improvement within the ward.

Qualifications

• Current first or second level NMC Registration.
• Evidence of recent Continued Practice Development.
• Post basic certificate in relevant subject (where appropriate).
• Nursing degree or working towards a degree.
• Mentorship/teaching course.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care plans.
• Coordinate discharge planning per Trust policy.
• Ensure nursing practice aligns with Trust policies.
• Comply with the NMC Code of Conduct.
• Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical leadership and mentor junior staff.
