Job summary

Nudge Education is seeking compassionate, creative practitioners to deliver personalised 1:1 and 2:1 support for children and young people with SEN, SEMH, and complex needs in community settings, homes, or online. This role offers autonomy outside traditional classrooms with the freedom to tailor learning to each student.

You will work with families and regional teams, building trauma-informed relationships, monitoring progress, and safeguarding while contributing to a supportive, flexible team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience supporting children or young people with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or complex needs.
• Proven understanding of trauma-informed practice, de-escalation, and safeguarding.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a reliable vehicle (and willingness to obtain business car insurance).
• Commit to a minimum of 3 days per week during daytime hours for consistency.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience and knowledge of trauma-informed practice with challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 and 2:1 sessions in community settings, homes, or online.
• Build trusting relationships grounded in trauma-informed care and emotional regulation.
• Monitor attendance, maintain case records, complete risk assessments, and report safeguarding details.
• Collaborate with families, carers, regional support teams, and external specialists to align on goals.
