Job summary

SWAAY is seeking a Therapist to support a small caseload of young people with developmental trauma and complex needs. You will work primarily from our Wokingham office and school, with occasional travel to residential homes in Bracknell, Reading and Farnborough.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary team delivering individual and group therapies to embed therapy within daily care. Key requirements include a Master’s level or Level 4 qualification, registration with a professional body, and experience

Qualifications

• Master’s level qualification in a relevant therapeutic discipline or Level 4 Counselling.
• Recognised qualification in Integrative Counselling, Psychotherapy or CBT.
• Current registration or accreditation with a relevant professional body (e.g. HCPC, BACP, BABCP, UKCP).
• Experience working therapeutically with children and young people.
• Experience supporting young people with complex trauma and attachment difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver individual programmes based on assessments and clinical guidance.
• Be an active member of each young person’s multidisciplinary core team.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate evidence-based therapeutic group programmes.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings and work with colleagues to ensure consistency.
• Complete clinical administration, record keeping and case documentation.
