Job summary

Supercare Residential in Bexhill is seeking a Team Leader to oversee shifts at our Ofsted registered children's home. You will guide Support Workers and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for 10–16 year olds with complex needs.

You will lead on safeguarding, care planning and staff development, delivering high standards of care, consistent routines and robust documentation. A Level 3 Diploma is essential, with future progression toward Level 5 encouraged.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential).
• Experience leading or supporting staff on shift.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and boundaries.
• Calm under pressure with trauma‑informed approach.
• Desire to pursue Level 5 Leadership (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure safe, effective home operation.
• Direct Coaches and Senior Coaches on duty.
• Ensure care plans and risk assessments are followed.
• Handle safeguarding incidents and decisions on shift.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Collaborate with families, social workers and professionals.
• Support induction and staff development.
