Supercare Residential is seeking a Residential Support Worker for an Ofsted registered children's home in Bexhill. You will help young people become more independent through safe, structured activities within a therapeutic environment.

The role requires resilience, excellent communication, and a trauma-informed, child-centred approach. Training opportunities include funded Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications; shifts include day or night work to support 24/7 care.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Trauma-informed, child-centred approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, consistent and therapeutic care to children and young people.
• Support emotional, physical and psychological wellbeing of young people.
• Build positive professional relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.
• Safeguard and promote welfare in line with legislation and policies.
• Deliver care in line with therapeutic models and individual care plans.
• Support young people to regulate emotions and develop appropriate behaviours.
• Promote independence, life skills and engagement in education and routines.
• Contribute to meaningful activities and experiences for young people.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in handovers and meetings.
