Job summary

SuperCare Residential is seeking a Team Leader for our Ofsted registered children’s residential home in Bexhill. The role involves leading day or night shifts to ensure safe, consistent care for children aged 10-16 with complex needs.

You will supervise Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, uphold safeguarding standards, and implement therapeutic approaches. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is essential, with Level 5 Leadership qualification desirable.

Qualifications

• This role requires Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and professional boundaries.
• Trauma-informed, child-centred approach to care.
• Ability to lead, guide and support staff on shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and ensure safe, effective running of the home during your shift.
• Direct Coaches and Senior Coaches to maintain high performance and conduct.
• Ensure care plans, risk assessments and Positive Behaviour Support are followed.
• Handle safeguarding concerns, incident response and decisions on shift.
• Monitor practice standards and address issues promptly.
• Support induction, coaching and development of staff members.

Education

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (desirable)
