Job summary

The Spires School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils academically and emotionally, helping create a nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

You will work closely with teachers and the school team to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, independence and resilience, while contributing to individual learning plans and ensuring accurate records where required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in learning in classroom and through individual or small group interventions.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Help create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Encourage positive relationships and promote pupil wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs.
• Contribute to implementing individual learning and support plans.
• Maintain accurate records and support educational reviews.
• Promote positive behaviour through a nurturing and trauma-informed approach.
