Job summary

Shenstone Lodge School (SIPS) in Shenstone, near Lichfield, is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs.

The role requires trauma-informed practice, experience with ASC and communication difficulties, and ability to work within bespoke behaviour and risk management plans, with initial focus on one pupil.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs.
• Experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and communication difficulties.
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice and attachment theory.

Responsibilities

• Provide bespoke support to a pupil with complex SEMH needs, including autism and communication difficulties.
• Collaborate with staff to support social, emotional development and planned reintegration into class.
• Follow bespoke behaviour, support and risk management plans and contribute to safeguarding practices.
