Job summary

Christ the Word Catholic School in Rhyl is seeking a Level 4 Teaching Assistant to support and deliver learning for learners with high behavioural, social and emotional needs across years 7–11. The role focuses on building positive relationships, trauma-informed approaches and creating a stable daily presence to enable inclusion.

Qualifications

• Lead in bespoke provision of support for learners with very high level of behavioural, social and emotional needs.
• Build positive relationships with learners and support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Implement individual behaviour support plans and emotional literacy strategies.
• Promote engagement in learning through adaptive, trauma-informed approaches.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral and safeguarding teams to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support.
• Be a consistent presence throughout the day for pupils.
• Support reintegration of learners into the main school environment when appropriate.
