Job summary

New Directions Holdings Limited is seeking caring, motivated Teaching Assistants for flexible assignments in the Rhyl area across Denbighshire. We partner with primary and secondary schools to place support staff in classrooms, assisting learning, pupil confidence and wellbeing.

Candidates may hold NVQ Level 2/3 TA, HLTA, CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education, or BTEC Childhood Studies; LSAs with relevant school experience are welcome. Roles offer ongoing consultant support and varied schedules.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant or higher required.
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA preferred.
• CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education or BTEC Childhood Studies advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the guidance of head teacher and class teachers.
• Assist in implementing IEPs and monitor student progress.
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation in activities.
• Maintain student records in coordination with teaching staff.
• Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop social skills.

Job Specification

Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;

• NVQLevel 2 Teaching Assistant
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
• Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
• CACHELevel 3 in Childcare & Education
• BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).

We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.
