Job summary

The Mews School in Wem is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students learning and social development, both inside and outside the classroom. You will work 1:1 or 2:1 with students who need extra support, and help prepare engaging activities tailored to individual needs.

The role involves assisting teachers to maintain a positive, organized, and inspiring classroom environment, reacting calmly to classroom situations, with full induction and safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Experience supporting students in educational settings preferred.
• Commitment to safeguarding and equal opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support students learning and social development inside and outside the classroom.
• Work 1:1 or 2:1 with students needing extra support.
• Help set up engaging activities tailored to each student’s needs.
• Support teachers to create a positive, organized, and inspiring classroom environment.
