Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. in Wembley, London, is recruiting a Permanent SEMH Teacher to support primary pupils with SEMH needs in a nurturing specialist school.

You will plan, deliver and assess a tailored KS1–KS2 curriculum for a class of up to six pupils, working with HLTAs, Teaching Assistants and therapists in a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasises trauma-informed education, positive behaviour support and helping pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation and a love of learning

Qualifications

• QTS or trainee with QTS considered.
• Experience teaching primary-aged children.
• Experience with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Experience with planning, assessment and targets.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for KS1–KS2.
• Teach the National Curriculum across KS1–KS2, including phonics.
• Support pupils with SEMH and SEND to overcome barriers to learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Lead and support a class team of staff.
• Collaborate with therapists and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to targets/reviews.
• Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and CPD.
