Job summary

Aberlour Child Care Trust invites applications for two Residential Worker positions in Glenrothes and Dunfermline. You will join a team delivering therapeutic residential care for children and young people, working 37.5 hours per week on a rota that includes early, late, sleepovers and weekend shifts.

You will foster safe, supportive relationships and adapt quickly to each house’s needs, while upholding Aberlour’s values of respect, integrity and innovation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of attachment, trauma and its impact on development.
• Resilient and able to work with distressed behaviours in a trauma‑responsive way.
• Ability to build therapeutic relationships with children, young people and young adults.

Responsibilities

• Support the residential teams and relief adults to maintain high‑quality service delivery.
• Work a 37.5‑hour rota across Glenrothes and Dunfermline including early, late, sleepovers and weekends.
• Cover shifts as required and help with school attendance or learning activities for Young People.
• Demonstrate respectful, integritous, innovative practice whilst supporting different teams and learners.
