SuperHiring is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker for a Ofsted-registered children’s home in Bexhill-on-Sea. The role focuses on safe, therapeutic care for 10–16-year-olds with complex needs, including ASD and ADHD.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of professional boundaries.
• The ability to remain calm, regulated and solution focused under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A trauma informed and child centred approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Lead practice on shift, supporting the Team Leader to maintain safe and consistent care delivery.
• Support and guide Coaches during shifts, promoting accountability and high standards of care.
• Ensure care plans, risk assessments and PBS strategies are consistently followed; respond to incidents and escalate concerns in safeguarding procedures.
• Support young people with emotional regulation, behaviour management and daily routines.
• Build trusting, professional and therapeutic relationships with young people.
• Act as a key worker, supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.
• Contribute to care planning, reviews and outcome tracking.
• Support engagement in education, routines and meaningful activities.
• Maintain accurate records, incident reports and regulatory documentation.
• Promote trauma informed, child centred and therapeutic care approaches.
• Contribute to reflective practice, team meetings and staff development.
• Maintain a safe, clean and homely environment within the home.
• Administer medication safely in line with training and policy.
• Work flexibly across different homes within the service where required.
