Job summary

The Cumbria County Council is recruiting Residential Support Workers for two new children’s homes in Wigton and Burgh by Sands. You will provide compassionate, trauma-informed care, building trusting relationships and empowering young people to achieve their potential.

This permanent, full-time position offers 37 hours per week with a salary of £35,570 to £36,581 per annum and opportunities for training and career progression within a dedicated, child-centred service.

Responsibilities

• Assist children and young people who have experienced trauma and attachment difficulties
• Promote stability, resilience and emotional wellbeing through supportive care
• Support education, leisure and community activities as part of a nurturing home environment
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, child-centred care
