Job summary

Social Interest Group (SIG) in Bedfordshire is seeking a Recovery Worker to support residents in an 11-bed service, delivering tailored, trauma-informed mental health support to help individuals achieve independent living and reduce hospital admissions.

You will create person-centred plans, run one-to-one and group sessions, coordinate with partners, and promote safety and wellbeing while following safeguarding procedures to empower residents beyond crisis.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with people with multiple and complex needs.
  • Ability to deliver one-to-one and group sessions.
  • Experience in mental health support and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

  • Create tailored support plans through one-to-one sessions, group sessions, and multi-agency meetings.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times.
  • Empower residents to take control of their lives and meet personal goals.
  • Plan activities to engage residents with communities and opportunities.
  • Be a reliable team member, completing handovers for night colleagues for a seamless service.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns when needed.
  • Support residents with taking medications and keep accurate records; liaise with colleagues and external agencies.
