Job summary

Social Interest Group (SIG) is hiring a Female Recovery Worker to join our Women’s Service based in Hove, Brighton. The role provides person-centred support to residents who have experienced homelessness, trauma, and complex needs, helping them meet personal goals through structured plans and activities.

You will work with internal and external partners to run programmes, monitor progress, and empower residents to take control of their lives in a safe, enabling environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of homelessness impact on women with multiple needs and backgrounds.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and safeguarding requirements.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and respond to service needs.
• Knowledge of housing and social care needs for vulnerable women.
• IT literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Initiate interventions to prevent crises and protect residents.
• Carry out service responsibilities and ensure quality of support.
• Develop and encourage participation in projects and activities.
• Empower residents to make decisions within a supportive environment.
• Provide information, guidance, and life skills training as needed.
• Identify signs of deteriorating health and respond appropriately.
