Practice Plus Group is recruiting a psychologist for the integrated mental health team at HMP Lewes. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 2.5 days a week, focusing on psychological assessment, formulation and both individual and group interventions with clinical supervision of an assistant psychologist.

Qualifications

• Full HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist.
• Experience in clinical, forensic or counselling psychology.
• Experience in complex, high-risk or forensic environments.
• Experience working with psychological trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support and supervision to the Integrated Mental Health Team.
• Undertake psychological assessments and develop formulations within the MDT.
• Deliver 1:1 and group interventions including Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' programme.
• Identify patients for psychological intervention and prioritise by clinical need.
• Supervise an assistant psychologist.
• Deliver teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff.
• Monitor and evaluate interventions and maintain clinical records.
• Communicate complex assessment information to patients and colleagues.
• Attend ACCT and CSIP planning to offer psychological input.
• Contribute to audits, service evaluation and development projects.
• Advise on psychological aspects of the service and policy development.
