Job summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Recovery Worker for HMP Peterborough to deliver needs-based health care services to prisoners with substance misuse issues, using Trauma Informed principles to support recovery. Full-time, 37.5 hours with shift rotation.

DBS checks required and UK residency evidence will be requested. The role sits within the integrated Substance Misuse Service; team works with mental health and healthcare to provide trauma-informed wellbeing

Qualifications

• Understanding of trauma-informed care.
• Qualification in Substance Misuse Level 3 (RQF).
• Experience of working in a secure setting.
• Facilitation of group work or similar.

Responsibilities

• Deliver psychosocial interventions to prisoners with current or history of substance misuse.
• Provide a trauma-informed wellbeing service in collaboration with health teams.
