Job summary

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 4 Recovery Support Worker to deliver evidence-based interventions within the Inclusion Substance Misuse Team at HMP Gartree. You will manage a caseload and provide group work and 1:1 interventions to service users in a custodial environment.

Join a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-standard drug and alcohol recovery services, with emphasis on harm reduction, safeguarding and integrated working with clinical prescribing services.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Health & Social Care setting.
• Qualification in a health and social care area.
• Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Organise and facilitate group work within the establishment as directed by Line Manager.
• Accept referrals, assess needs and prioritise groupwork attendees.
• Provide harm reduction information and support (safer drug use, safer sex, HIV, Hepatitis A/B/C).
• Maintain an appropriate caseload with key worker responsibility.
• Carry out comprehensive assessments when required by the line manager.
• Co-produce care packages with multi-disciplinary colleagues and review care plans.
• Lead and support Recovery Champions and mentors; provide training and supervision.
