Job summary

SWAAY is offering a Waking Night Worker role in Bracknell with 37.5 hours per week and a shift from 10.30pm to 8.30am. We welcome career changers and provide fully funded NVQ Level 3 training in Residential Childcare to support your progression and safeguarding responsibilities.

From £12.80 per hour, fully funded training, and a comprehensive benefits package accompany this role as you help traumatised young people in a supportive residential setting.

• Ability to remain alert during night shifts while providing a safe, supportive environment.
• Compassionate, empathetic and reliable approach to working with vulnerable young people.
• Resilient and reflective mindset; suitable for shift work and challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing home environment during night shifts.
• Supervise and record movements and activities during the night.
• Promote and safeguard health and wellbeing of each child.
• Work in line with risk assessments and safeguarding protocols.
• Recognise, respond to and report safeguarding concerns accurately.
