Keyline Care is hiring a Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker in Sutton-in-Ashfield to provide nurturing, trauma-informed care for young people with high needs.

This full-time role (40 hours per week) operates on a 2-week rolling rota (10pm–8am) with additional bank/part-time opportunities. You will undergo induction, training for DDP trauma-informed care, and pursue Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential childcare or related care roles is desirable.
• Willingness to undertake Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and therapeutic training.
• Caring and compassionate approach with ability to build trusting relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide a calm, reassuring presence during the night and respond to emotional and physical needs of children.
• Monitor and support children who may struggle with sleep, anxiety or nightmares.
• Encourage and model positive bedtimes and night routines.
• Respond promptly to incidents or safeguarding concerns following policies.
• Administer first aid and medication where required as trained.
• Deliver high-quality, consistent care in line with care plans.
• Build safe, trusting relationships through DDP-informed practice.
• Complete nightly records, key work sessions and incident reports accurately.
• Support education, health and emotional wellbeing of the young person.
• Collaborate with staff in handovers, reflective practice and team meetings.
• Assist with domestic tasks to maintain a safe, homely environment.
