Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council is recruiting a Waking Nights Children’s Residential Worker to support vulnerable children in a new residential home. You will monitor safety during the night, respond to needs, and contribute to a calm, nurturing environment.

The role requires professional registration and a commitment to safeguarding, with ongoing development and a supportive team to help you provide consistent care through the night.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safe night-time checks and respond to needs of children.
• Maintain a warm, secure, trauma-informed environment.
• Assist with personal care and basic meals during night shifts.
• Support safeguarding, health and safety standards and care planning processes.
