Job summary

Your Place is seeking a dedicated Move-On Support Worker to guide residents from early preparation to settlement in suitable accommodation. You will collaborate with Move-On Team Leaders, housing providers and external partners to embed move-on planning within each service user’s plan.

You will support practical tasks, tenancy readiness, budgeting and landlord communication, helping residents access options such as PRS, social housing and supported housing while reducing risks of repeat

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people affected by homelessness or housing insecurity.
• Experience of budgeting, benefits, rent payments, utilities and tenancy responsibilities.
• Good communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills with residents, colleagues, landlords and external partners.
• Willingness to complete relevant training in housing options, welfare benefits, safeguarding and tenancy sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Develop individual move-on plans with residents reflecting needs, goals and readiness.
• Explain housing options, affordability and tenancy responsibilities clearly to residents.
• Support residents with move-on tasks: applications, documents, viewings and sign-ups.
• Deliver tenancy readiness support covering rent, budgeting and utilities.
