Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a leading Alternative Provision in West London supporting pupils aged 5 - 19 outside mainstream education. Operating from a modern campus with specialist facilities, the school provides a dynamic environment designed to help young people thrive.

You will work with a passionate team helping students re-engage with learning, build confidence, and transition back to mainstream school or into further education and employment.

Qualifications

• Be able to provide consistent and unwavering care and support to a group of students, leading activities and a small team.
• Proven track record in promoting learning and student development, including assessing and recording progress.
• Strong emotional resilience and professional maturity.
• Commitment to trauma-informed care principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, trauma-informed emotional and educational support.
• De-escalate high-pressure situations and manage challenging behaviours.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to foster a secure environment.
• Implement professional boundaries to build student trust.
