Job summary

Axcis Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a term-time role in a specialist setting in Bradford-on-Avon. The role involves supporting pupils aged 4 to 16 with SEMH and SEND needs, focusing on building confidence and engagement through one-to-one and small group work.

You will use trauma-informed strategies within a therapeutic environment, working with a multidisciplinary team including teachers and families to reach EHCP goals.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH, SEND or complex needs.
• Calm, consistent, and grounded approach in challenging situations.
• Skilled at building positive relationships and safe learning spaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students access learning.
• Lead and assist with creative, practical and sensory activities to build confidence.
• Use trauma-informed strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, families and external professionals to meet EHCP outcomes.
