Job summary

Inspire EHC in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEMH, Autism and trauma-informed approaches to help them feel safe, understood and ready to learn.

You will build trusting relationships, assist with emotional regulation, adapt activities to individual needs, and work closely with teachers, SENCO and therapists on personalised support plans, promoting independence and progress.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or equivalent) required.
• Experience with SEMH, Autism or trauma needs.
• Calm, empathetic and resilient with good teamwork.

Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

Start: September 2026 or sooner

Inspire EHC is looking for a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school near Bury St Edmunds. You will support pupils with SEMH, Autism and trauma-informed approaches that help them feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
